Attention

You do not need to dedicate your entire life to a person to give attention. Sometimes all that is required is a few minutes, or time enough to share a compliment. Does some "one" you know need attention - today? Please reflect upon that thought. How will you give your attention to a needed freshman? What are some of the obstabcles you might have to overcome in oreder to give them your attention?

I can give my attention to a freshman in a few different ways. Freshmen are easy to please. Any kind of attention at all that you give them that is positive will help them. Some will be rude and not accept what you say to them but some will always remember it.

One way to give attention is very easy. Complimenting them will boost there self esteem and make them feel better about themselves. If a Junior or Senior goes up to a freshman and says that they like their shirt, it will make the freshman feel good. It is not that hard to say a few nice words to a freshman.

If a freshman is doing bad in class, let them know your there to help them if you want them to. Tutoring them and helping boost up there grade is also giving them attention. It takes mor time out of your day then just giving a simple complment but it will really help them.

I agree that complimenting freshmen will boost their self esteem. Self esteem is a big thing that they do need to succeed. They will be happy that you care for them and want to help them. So, what have written I totally agree with.
